Topic: From Academia to Startups: My Journey with Generative AI at Yurts
Generative AI has surged in popularity over the last few years, specifically driven by the advent of ChatGPT. The Generative AI space witnessed an inflection point with the onset of Large Language Models (LLMs) built on the widely famous "Transformer" architecture. Despite its technological marvels, the challenge of sustainable adoption and delivering the promised Return-On-Investment (ROI) remains a critical concern for both startups and large industries in the Generative AI space. At Yurts, a Series A startup headquartered in San Francisco, we believe that large enterprises are not achieving the expected ROI from GenAI tools due to several prevalent "myths". This talk will explore key challenges such as hallucinations, security and privacy issues, and the substantial costs of hosting these systems. It will also present innovative strategies Yurts AI has adopted to promote large-scale adoption of GenAI systems in enterprises and subsequently improve ROI for the same.
